Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes

I love autumn for going to see exhibitions, yesterday it was the super Diaghilev exhibition at the V&A and the very first Palace Art Fair in south London.

I wasnt sure what to expect at the V&A but having done numerous drawings from Le Train Bleu and the Firebird (two of Diaghilevs famous productions) it was a real treat.

Fantastic Gauguin exhibition

I have to say that I was bowled over the by the new Gauguin Exhibition on at the moment at Tate Modern. I cant actually say that I have seen more than one Gauguin painting, in the flesh, as it were but this show demonstrates how prolific he was. With at least 4 or 5 rooms dedicated to his whole lifes work as a painter it is hard not to be impressed.
